you can put a light color all over the eye up to your eyebrows then you put the darkes color your using on the outer of your eye if you put the brush on the corner of your eye and then open it as you brush so you can get a perfect line... then you get the medium color and starting from the inner corner of your eye and go all the way to the dark color and over the dark color this will make the dark color look more soft...but if you don't like it the fist time just keep practicing until you like the way it ends....good luck...

What I did I started googling a lot for diffrent ideas and I tried it out. I use my own techniques and they work surprisingly well. What I do I use Bare Essentials which is really good makeup because it doesn't cause breakouts put a small amount of powder on your lids then put on your eyeshadow of choice since my eyes are brown my eyes look great with gold and brown but I love matching my makeup with my clothes you can blend two colors or stick with one. I then take a pencil and put it on my top lid and lower lid after wards I use a liquid pencil which is like liquid eyeliner but it looks like a pencil or if I have a lot of time I would use the wands. put it on the top lid. Its a very good night-out makeup. If you want your eyes to look bigger use some white eyeliner.

Practice on the perfect face: your own. That is the only way to learn. That is how I look like a model. I would come home from school and pracitce till I got it perfect. Takes time, remember, do not overdo. Less is always better. Just use it to bring out the real you. Look at fashion magazines for tips or the pictures.

Make sure your face has an even complexion, whether you use powder or foundation. Definitely practice putting on eyelinder. And don't use too much, like a goth person. Smudge the line to make it thinner if you need to. Next, mascara. I don't like it clumpy, so I put the mascara on, then use a dry, clean mascara brush to go over my lashes after with. Practice with eyeshadow too. Maybe you should go to the mall to one of those makeup counters and have them show you.

I found out using my finger worked the best Do a light light shadow like a white over the lid and up to the brow and than do a darker shade on the lid and gently take a clean finger and gently sweep it out....it's easy to do and this way you can rub off if you have too much on...

It really depends. Can you specify what kind of look you're looking for? If you do, then I can come back and edit my answer to suit your needs.
