I believe George Strait( a real life country singer) was in it. I can't remember the name of the movie though. I think ' the lone country'. I don't think i'm right about the name though.

i dont kow all i can think of is labamba (Ricky Valens) but i know its NOT Pure Country w/ George Strait cuz he DOES NOT die in the movie
