I don't qualify for paid leave at my job because I don't have full time hours on a regular basis. Husband is a full time college student with a part time job.

Most likely you will not get any pay. You are eligible for 6 weeks of unpaid time off if you're in the States, but that does not mean you get paid for any of them unless your employer grants payment. Our government is too cheap to spend any money on maternity leave even though it's got the money. Hmmmm...

some jobs have diverse criteria. At my pastime, i became employed as a flex worker and in 6 months, i visit qualify to be a each and daily worker and be eligible for maternity go away. not each pastime provides maternity go away, and maximum do not pay you both. Maternity go away in basic terms says you may have a job once you come again from having the toddler and that i do not imagine that could be blended with mattress relax because you're on mattress relax because of your toddler, not because you're disabled. also, you won't be able to get incapacity in case you are able to artwork, or get incapacity in case you are able to flow back to artwork at anytime. One very last element, what type of worker are you in case you purely were given a job once you stumbled on out you've been pregnant so so that you are able to get incapacity in a lengthy time period? ANd fyi, maternity go away is in basic terms 6 weeks, not 2 months plus time to get better afterwards, that is what you're assuming you receives.

I am assuming you do not live in a state that has state disability. Also the company you work for may provide Short Term Disability Insurance for employees. But there is no law, to my knowledge, that says companies must pay you for going on disability for maternity. If you take a leave of absence they do not have to pay you.

You don't. There may be other resources available to you but not disability. Try your local HRS website (some states its DCF, some HHR).

the only way you would get disability..is if your doctor put you on bedrest..and cant work b.c of certain conditions..but you might be able to apply for un-employment

Why get pregnant if you can't afford it? Disability is for sick people, not those who get pregnant before they are stable enough for it.
