I took a pregnancy test feb 2nd and it was positive. Went to the doctor on the 8th and had a vaginal ultrasound and they couldn't find anything. They said my uterus lining was thick and there was fluid but nothing else. . they said I could just be early or ectopic. They didn't see the baby in the tubes or anything either. I would have just missed my period about 3 days ago. Has this ever happened to anyone else and everything turn out okay? Hopefully I am just too early.

A sac is seen on a vaginal ultrasound at about the 5th week of pregnancy, and heart activitiy is seen on the 6th and even 7th week. If we are talking about abdominal ultrasound, everything happens a week later. According to your dates, you must be 4 weeks pregnant, so hopefully yes, it's too early. This is why it makes no medical sense having ultrasounds before week 6. Good luck.

It also happened to me, I was a week delayed by then when i decided to have a transvaginal ultrasound. The OB asked me to return after 2 weeks to see the development of the baby. Unfortunately, I experienced bleeding just after a week and was admitted for 3 days. My last ultrasound showed that I lost the baby. Just wait for another week and repeat the ultrasound. The baby must have the heart beat at 6 weeks. Gudluck!
