I use Affordable Mineral Makeup. I have tried a few others, but they either contains small amounts of preservatives or are made up with a lot of fillers. The mineral makeup goes a long way. It is a little bit more than some of the drugstore foundations but it will last longer. It brings out your natural beauty while minimizing any flaws or wrinkles. It is multi-purpose and very versatile. Affordable Mineral Makeup is micro-formulated using the highest quality minerals and botanicals; being naturally preservative and irritant-free it is also weightless and incredibly long-wearing. It does not clog pores and it has a naturally high SPF. It helps to calm and soothe irritated skin with its zinc content, and is water resistant. Providing excellent coverage.
Affordable Mineral Makeup does not contain Bismuth Oxychloride like many of the other mineral foundations do. Bismuth can clog your pores and cause your skin to itch. There are problems associated with it. Its molecular makeup is a crystalline shape, which may be a cause of the itchiness some women get when they wear it. Many women experience noticeable itching when they sweat. Don't forget it is also kin to arsenic, chemically. Your body will reject things it does not like, and if you'll get sick from ingesting arsenic, it would make sense that your skin would get irritated from having arsenic forced into it. Companies use Bismuth in their cosmetics because it is cheap to buy and is an inexpensive filler. It does have binding qualities, so the makeup will "stick" to your skin, so to speak. But there are other products that are just as effective at adhesion, and are better for your skin.
Many other makeups contain preservatives that are also not good for your skin.
Affordable Mineral Makeup enables you to feel free, experience natural beauty and is good for you.
Benefits of Affordable Mineral Makeup itself:
Each ingredient has its own special quality and purpose in the makeup.
These are the ingredients making up Affordable Mineral Makeup, pure and simple.
•Zinc Oxide is known for its healing properties in problem skin such as rosacea and acne, it has the ability to stay on even while sweating and swimming, as well as offers protection from the sun's harmful UV rays.
•Titanium Dioxide also has waterproof and SPF properties while providing a Matte look.
•Mica has some transparent properties and allows the makeup to go on smoothly.
•Iron Oxides give the makeup its pigment.

Bare Minerals from bare escentuals is the best
make sure u get the right brushes though for best results
it really does look natural
I have the "getting started kit" and its worth it ($80) it comes with 3 brushes (one for full coverage, one for light, and one for spot coverage), 2 shades of foundation, 2 shades of blushes, a compact, and an oil absorbing powder called mineral veil.
there is another kit for $60 which has sorta the same stuff
it works wonders, trust me, the sales people are usually great help
buy @ some macy's, bare escentuals boutique, sephora, or online, try qvc.com or sephora.com, or ulta.com or www.bareescentuals.com/
Good luck and have fun!!!!

I use N.Y.C it's pretty cheap but it works well they have a foundation stick and they have the loose powder. and the compact cover powder works wonders i used it for a photo shoot we were doing. I had a girl who had pale pale skin and it gave her a "china doll" look. there are other Non-name brands that work just becareful because some can cause major break-outs

i LOVE clinique perfectly real makeup. it blends amazingly, so you don't have a line where your foundation stops and it covers everything, and they help you find the best colour for your skin.
when i'm broke, i use rimmel london - it's very similar to the clinique.
the worst thing about cheap foundation is that it tends to be VERY orange or VERY pink...like those girls with the lines where their foundation stops!
i also use a stick concealer under my eyes.
for the literal "doll" look, you need translucent loose powder - covergirl makes the best i've ever used!
find a bright pink blush - any of the ones from covergirl - and get a decent blush brush - and dust that on your cheekbones
finish with black mascara (clinique high intensity rules) and some eyeliner.
hope this helps

Bare Essentials - the mineral make up. It's amazing. It covers better than anything else, doesn't look like you are wearing tons of makeup and it doesn't break you out.
It's really good stuff.
