Because they can't remember their real name...or don't care enough to use it...


Unless of course it's your friend, they just do it to associate the person with a memory or something♥

Because sometimes you associate a certain word with a person, and it gets to be their nickname.

My father used to have a nickname for almost everyone of our family and neighbors... the best was his nick for my Aunt... he used to call her "Old Fatback".... LMAO

Just to endear them. It's like a little thing they use that's only for you. If you have a common name, it's a good way to set u apart from the rest.
