We didnt evolve from monkeys or apes, but rather a common link that split over the years into monkeys and humans.

Good question and observation. Not only are the apes still here but there is no bones being dug up in the in-between stage. Nor have I seen any live apes turning into people. um... Humans didn't evolve. They were made in God's image.

No Stewie, humans didn't evolve from the apes or "monkeys" of today, we evolved from other apes that were related to the apes that the apes of today evolved from, does that make sense monkey?
