do the assignment, write the report. It's not a big deal, and just because you do the work, doesn't mean you have to change your beliefs.
If you don't believe in evolution, that's fine. But writing a report on it will not harm you in anyway, nor should it challenge your beliefs or feelings.

Yup. Do your homework, that your mother gave you... I guess it's still called homework. Because you write a report on it, doesn't mean you believe in it. It's like writing an essay on a fictional book. Evolution is something you should learn, because most people believe in it. We (who believe in evolution) are taught religion in schools, so you should learn evolution as well. Of course, they don't encourage religion but we're expected to know the basics of that religion. So just write that article. Maybe you can change your mind, about your beliefs. If your beliefs are strong enough, nothing can stop it, right?

Well, if you feel if you have enough knowledge to make the claim that you don't believe in it- then she isn't being nice at all.
Everyone has the right to have their own believes. You can go to the US constitutions page and just quote it to her (I assume you're from the US)
Most other countries will have a similar constitution.
On the other hand, if you're making your claims based on complete lack of knowledge, and you have a tendency to do such things, then your mother might be annoyed and would want you to make educated decisions before stating claims.
However, 21 pages and a report! Thank god it's not me! Homework from school keeps me busy enough man!

Write the report and obey your mother. When finished try and talk to your mother about how you feel. Make sure that when you get ready to discuss this matter with her, you have all of your facts straight with good supporting answers and reasoning. Also, try and give your mother some reasons on why her answers are logical in science. Also, maybe someone else with your beliefs can help and persuade your mother. I hope that I have helped and I hope that things get better.

If you dont believe in Evolution, and have a good argument about why not. Then fight against your mom, and tell her why you dont believe in it, and why you think Evolution is wrong. I think she will be happy with your solution to her punishment, but you have to have a good fight against it.

That's not called punishment, it's called education. Was it punishment when she sent you to school to learn how to read and write?
There's no more option not to "believe" in evolution than there is not to "believe" in gravity. There is no serious debate. On one side of the so-called debate is every reputable scientist on earth. On the other side is the Dukes of Hazzard. It's not hard for a rational person to pick between the two.

If you do not believe in Evolution and believe in God consider it a persecution for His names sake. Continue to stand up for Christ and you will be OK. It seems that you ARE more intellengent then she is. You do not have to argue with her, but stand your ground and the Lord IS PROUD of you for doing so. She cannot ground you forever.
