On my Valentine's dance at school, I was pursuing the girl I like. However, every time I got close to asking her to dance, she would say, "Did you see that girl that got dehydrated?" or, "Want to play DDR?" I couldn't find her, and asked my friend to tell her I was looking for her if he found her (I was in the bathroom.) Then, as I came out, my friend told me, "I just told her you wanted to dance with her, and she said yes." I was looking for her, when I ran into my science teacher, Mr. C. He made me and my friend play connect four with him. Then, I found her and she said, "C'mon, let's dance." Just as we moved into the gym the DJ said, "Okay everybody, your parents will be here to pick you up any minute now, so get your stuff and say by to your friends." As everybody piled outside to get picked up, I yelled, "Hey R(name)" She said, "Bye D(name." I think this is an awkward situation and I need help! She was my best friend and I don't want to ruin it.

Does she know you like her more than a friend? Maybe she just thought you wanted to dance with her as a friend would. But she probably knows you like her more since your friend told her you wanted to dance with her. Anyway, it does not sound awkward, it just sounds like you missed your opportunity to dance with her(which sucks :[). Is there another dance coming up? Next time you see your friend, ask if she's up for going to the next one together (she'll most likely say yes since you're friends). If you can't wait that long, ask her out on a date! Good luck :]

wow... that's ok i guess... i mean, it sucks that you never got to dance with her, but maybe next time? you should ask her at school on monday if she wants to go out w/ you....
