We have been simply outplayed by an understrength english team in the final of the Commonwealth bank series. Is this the team that should go to the world cup?? If not what changes do you think should be made?

@Forky I agree with you on McGrath I feel he is in the side for sentiment rather than match winning power, personally I couldn't believe that Shaun Tait
was left out of the final series I saw him at the MCG against NZ he was the only reason why why Australia kept NZ under 300. He was consistantly bowling over 155 kmph and knocked over Vincent when he was on 90 with an inswinging yorker.

I feel that Clarke at number 4 is a waste of players such as Hussey and Symonds.

I agree that Gilchrist at the top of the order is not really working anymore maybe he should be swapped with watson in the order or replaced with Haddin.

fistly let me say i agree with ausblue about bill lawry all summer he has been waiting for the Aussies to be beaten, the joy he got out of the Aussies losing was a disgrace, definate traitor in my opinion.

mc grath is an absolute legend and i will take nothing away from him but i do think he should miss the world cup,he seems to be showing his age-i know he took the most wickets but his body language says to me he's had enough

michael clark plays like its test cricket and personally i don't think he should be in the squad test yes-odi no,d. hussey or vogues would be a better odi replacement.

lastly its time for gilly to bat down the order a bit, maybe they should open with watson again or if not give m.hussey ago-he keeps saying he wants to bat up the order.

I agree that our selections were not that great for the finals matches. As I said answering another question here, as the old saying goes - if it aint broke, dont fix it!!

Bringing in Watson and Hogg for the finals was not a good idea. Why for finals would you bring in players that are underdone! Our middle order seemed to lack stability, evidenced by the collapses we had. This can be partly put down to the injury to Symonds, however we did still have Hussey there who showed us he was human - we cannot expect him to bail us out every time!!

I would be tempted to play Brad Haddin as a batsmen, as he can provide that hard hitting that Andrew Symonds gave the team. Watson and Hogg - well, with how well we went during the preliminary games, I think they should have to force their way in rather than just be given a spot, which I hate to say about Hoggy, he's an underated player.

Since cricket is a game of uncertainities, such upsets happens. The ultimate result will depend upon who performs well on a given day and not by the strength of team. I do not think any change will be required in the Australian Team for the World Cup

Yeh I just want to agree with ausblue on this ! If think its because so many, particularly the older generations only seem to relate to the underdog ! Similar to the "tall poppie" syndrome here ! When will they just support their bloody team to the end ?

And no this cant be the team we take, also scrap rotational crap - it doesn't help us !

I don't know
all I know the silly commentators should support our players
last night (Bill Laurie I THINK) screamed out in delight when we got caught & he said You Little Beauty
well he sounded like a traitor
what a BLOOD* IDIOT he is!!
sorry but that did upset me
maybe I'm a bad sport lol
