This suprised me i thought i'd see what you thought...?

Question

I know i have posted this once a long time ago but i felt i'd post it again to see what you all though.

As a sophomore in college i remember this game we used to play in gym class with this giant rainbow colored sheet. We'd all life it up and run under it and stuff. I'm sure other's of you remember this activity...anyway apparently....they now banned this activity from elementary school gym classes because it's to "violent" my friend wants to become a physical education teacher so this is how i found this out..I'm surprised. I also heard dodge ball was banned from some schools as well as tug of war and tag!! Does anyone else think this is in any way STUPID? what are they going to ban next....breathing!

I use to love all of those games too! Isn't it sad how fear of being politically incorrect and fear of retribution have changed the entire evolution of gym classes? People wonder why kids are getting heavier, and yet, gym class gets more lame every year, while fast food eating, computer playing kids go down hill.

I still remember how anyone barely took notice when I landed on the hardwood gym floor, after my spotter walked away from my balance beem. Yeah, it still hurts to think about it. Times have certainly changed. Definitely not all for the better.

i personally never liked dodgeball or any of those games cuz i was just too much of a wimp hehe.... but the parachute game??? are you kidding??? that was my favorite! i'd be interested in hearing their reasons for why it's considered violent. i don't remember it being dangerous in any way. heck... i'm in college and would probably still enjoy that game! :D i just don't understand what goes through people's minds these days. they obviously have nothing better to do than to cause drama.... i completely agree with you.
