a convection current occurs. The cold air being more denser, heavier, sinks as the hot air rises. This also occurs in water which is why the top of the water in a lake is warmer than the bottom. It also happens in electric jugs where the hot element at the bottom touches the cold water which warms up, rises and the colder air sinks until all the water is hot

the chilly air is heavier than warm air. so the nice and comfortable air will upward thrust above the chilly air - quiet down and have a tendency to launch its moisture - causing clouds and rain. the nice and comfortable temperature air that has cooled down will ultimately sink. If the chilly air is the single this is stepping into the nice and comfortable temperature air, you've got a cold the front with the typcial climate that brings. Rain, wind, clouds, followed by potential of clearer yet chilly climate. even as warmth air replaces chilly air - you get a warmth the front - the nice and comfortable temperature air nevertheless rises above the chilly air generating rain and clouds, yet as the front passes you get hotter climate.

cold air goes under warm air cause its denser and when the two meet you'll get precipitation of some sort depending on the ambient temp. will that result in a tornado? depends on the amount of rotation but you should bring an umbrella

The less dense warm pushes the cold air underneath it. Yes, it can cause wether patterns such as tornado. Usually, though, I think it only causes pressure change.
