I have gone into properties in MY COMPUTER and set my dvd rom drives not to open anything when I insert a disc. But for some reason everytime I insert a DVD the media Center opens.
Anyone know how I can stop this from happening?

Go to Tools

There you will find an option that asks if you want to play media once inserted. De-select to disable.

On my computer there are 7 different content types in the Drive Properties->AutoPlay menu. Each content type allows for any appropriate content launcher, or my favorite, "Take No Action".

If you don't do all of them, then there is a chance the type of media you are entering will have unexpected behavior.

In your original question, you stated you already changed the AutoPlay settings. Did you do it for each type of content?

I currently use XP Media Center v2002 SP2.
