ok here goes...I have a friend that i've known for about two years, my friend and I have worked together for about 5 months now. During the time my friend and i are at work we joke and play around with eachother. We are real cool with everyone. My friend has most of the time cuts me off when talking to talk to someone who she often flirts with. I would jokingly brush it aside. But the other day I made a statement to my friend I said word from word "when your around me you can't talk to him" I was only joking and afterwards i started laughing. My friend made a statement back "that sound gay" I laughed abd shrugged it off but i got upset my friend called some one on the phone what i said-she then got serious and started making comments about me having gay tedcies. What i didn't like was the fact that she was repeatly making "gay" comments about me when i was only joking and right now i am not talking to her

I guess you never watched "40 year-old Virgin"? I seriously doubt she is questioning your sexuality. If she's not, she's probably just upset with you and using "gay" as a way to express her frustration. If she is questioning your sexuality, she's not such a good friend, is she?

You made her uncomfortable with your possessive comment "when your around me you cant talk to him"
It may have been a joke on the surface...but there was something that made you say it. You aren't gay..but you are being possessive and jealous about your friend. You probably are right not to talk to her for awhile. Perhaps you need to be honest about your feelings towards your friend instead of trying to manipulate by saying weird things. I don't think your friend is right to call you gay...she needs to be honest with you as well.
Always make your intentions apparent when dealing with anyone...that way there is never any awkwardness or bad feelings between you.

First I would talk to her about it, and also tell her that I was joking when I made that remark, but now you are going to far, and let her know that what she keeps saying hurts you, because if she is really your friend she would stop, but if she doen't she was never your friend to began with.

You should tell her you are not gay and simply ask her to stop with the comments. A true friend would stop.
