when i had my ultrasound they gave me a date of my baby how old it was. does this mean they dont count the 2 weeks since the last period when they give this date, this is the ACTUAL date of the baby?

I think it is the date according to the system they use to calculate the dates, otherwise, there would be a lot of confusion.

They do count the 2 weeks since last period. It's the same system. If your periods are regular and you are sure about when the last one was, the date you get by ultrasound should be close to the one you calculated by the last menstrual period.

The earlier the ultrasound is done, the more accurate it is in determining gestational age. If done very early, the margin of error is only +/- 4 days. If done late in pregnancy, the margin of error can be up to two weeks.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that stupid ultrasound doesn't tell you anything exactly. I have had three different due dates with three separate ultrasounds. That is why they tell you give or take two weeks. That is an entire month of uncertainty! The baby will come when it's good and ready and no modern technology is completely accurate. They upload 2 weeks to the test i fairly do not no why they attempt this yet they do they count number your first week o being pregnant because the first day of your very last era so at the same time as they say you're in trouble-free terms 4 week you fairly are in trouble-free terms 2 weeks so when you're about 12 she fairly has in trouble-free terms ha the child there for type of 10 weeks

well there is a possibilty that they may not count the 2 weeks but i think they do count the 2 wees its very odd that they don't count it

I have only ever been given gestational age this way, so the length of the pregnancy
