In Lawrence S. Kaplan's Entangling Alliances with None: American Foreign Policy in the Age of Jefferson (Kent State University Press, 1987), the two biggest war hawks was Clay and Calhoun (p. 130). Is this available to you?

The war hawks were Democratic-Republicans who urged war with Great Britain. Most of them were situated in the south and western parts of the United States at this time. They wanted to kick the British out of Canada, but were soundly defeated. They also wanted the British to stop impressing Americans to serve in the British navy. The British would stop American ships and take anyone they thought was British off the ships to serve in the British navy. Hoped this helped.

Among the Warhawks were Calhoun, Clay, and James Madison was the President when the War of 1812 broke out. There were many other Warhawks though.

One of the war hawks was John C. Calhoun, a tumultuous senatorial life he led from South Carolina and a second one I believed despite of his compromises of the future was Henry Clay.
