i was speeding through a small town in oklahoma when coming home from caollege in 1996, , Now, i find out looking through court dockets, that I have a warrant, and it was from a old speeding ticket i got way back then!!!! is there a statue of limitations on speeding tickets??? I mean it is 120.00 dollars and don't mind paying it, but if i don't have to, I won't...

The best thing for you to do is to take care of the warrant. A warrant, no matter what it is issued for, will stay with you for the rest of your life or until you take care of the situation. If its not but $120.00, why not just go ahead and pay the thing? If you are stopped by any law enforcement, you will be arrested because of the warrant. Take care of it asap.

Send the Court a letter outlining your situation, and offer a compromise amount, to take the ticket off of the books.
However, check out the laws in the state of Oklahoma at the website below, to determine if the statute concerning infractions/tickets has been tolled.

there is no statute for warrants, purely the time from the crime to once you're charged. you will would desire to touch the courtroom to make arrangements to shelter it. i've got considered warrants over 15 years previous for common site visitors tickets.

Nope, Speed Racer, there's not statute of limitations on speeding tickets. If you have a bench warrant, I would get my butt to a police station and take care of it ASAP. Remember, there's no statute of limitations on stupidity!

you need to pay it, it will stay on your record, it will be on your abstract when you buy a car, when you buy auto insurance...get rid of the thorn at your side.
