Lets see if I can explain this to you... Doctors always count the first day of your last menstural period (LMP) as Day1..and on a normal menstural cycle women ovulate on Cycle day 14 (two weeks after your first day of your period) And you must ovulate in order for conception to take place. So therefore, your last period was 6 weeks ago...but you didnt actually conceive until approximately 2 weeks after that!
Hope that helped and not confused you more!

The doctors and medical experts have determined that your body carries for 40 weeks. In order to calculate the best assumption on when you will deliver they count from your first day of your last cycle. So you are 6 wks from your last cycle but technically the embryo is only 4 wks gestation.
Really is it nothing for you to pay attention to, just go with the 6 wks...or the first day of your last cycle. You will drive yourself nuts if you don't LOl

If you're 6 wks pregnant, that means it's been 6 weeks since the start of your last period, but it's only been 4 weeks since you conceived since you ovulate approx. 2 weeks after each period.

It means that it's been six weeks since your last period and probably four weeks ago that you conceived. Pregnancy is actually 10 months, or 40 weeks, as it goes by the date of your last menstrual period and not the day that you conceived. For example, if your period is a week late, that doesn't mean that you're a week pregnant. It means that you're five weeks pregnant as you skipped a month's cycle.

It's 6 weeks since your last menstrual period... probably 4 weeks since conception. Your due date is 40 weeks after your last menstrual period.

Pregnancy is calculated from the last menstrual period. So if you ovulated four weeks ago (i.e your period started six weeks ago) and became pregnant, you are considered six weeks pregnant. It's all approximated since you never really can be sure at what point you ovulated.
