Look at The Armenian Genocide: History, Politics, and Ethics, edited by Richard G. Hovannisian. There are several writers with numerous approaches to examining the events. Yeah, there's proof, people are sent to prison every day with less proof.

Yes.
During my work with asylum seekers I needed an Armenian speaking psychiatrist. Eventually I was given a telephone number, but no name. I contacted the doctor and, when he told me his name, I said, 'But that's Turkish!' 'Yes, but I'm Armenian, there are no Armenians left in Turkey.' I countered that I knew at least three families in a small town in eastern Turkey.'
My Turkish-Kurdish step-son, who is from this town told me there were at least 6 Armenian families in the town.
You say this was carried out by the Ottoman government, which is true. That is why I don't understand why the government of the Turkish Republic doesn't just say, 'Yes, it happened.' It could also say that it was not genocide, but ethnic cleansing, which, these days, appears to be a lesser crime against humanity.

There were witnesses around in Anatolia at the time, for example Germans. some of them took photos too. The letter by Talat Pasha everybody outside Turkey accepts. You can even see the skulls in Deir-el-zor. Even Turks are starting to accept this now.

My evidence is indirect. The Armenians living in my country came here on ships, trying to escape from the massacre. There is a monument in the sea coast garden to thank us for welcoming them. No one would flee their home country without a valid reason and they certainly did not kill each other.
