Yeah, England have finally shown some form, but let's have a reality check, shall we? So far in this tournament Australia have won 7 and lost 3, England have won 5 and lost 5. If Aus win the last final England will win the tournament with a losing record!!! How stupid is that? The tri-series in Aus goes on for far too long, it should be 6 matches rather than 12 to get rid of one team and then one final only. Australia are still the best side in the world by a distance, but now everyone else will know they are beatable.
One final word of warning though: in 2005 the Aussies lost the Ashes for the first time in 18 years. Immediately after that they annihalated a World XI in both 'Test' and ODIs and since then have won all but one Tests and romped home with the Champions Trophy. They react very, very well to adversity and I expect them to come out stronger for this defeat.

Its probably the wake up call we needed, although thankyou for your acknowledgement that here in Australia we do play the best Cricket, as is often the case you guys invent it, We improve it !As for reasons why they are many and varied some however would be; The selectors insistence on the rotational system & of resting players, injuries to key players thus breaking established partnerships - we really missed Andrew Symmonds. The rain delays thus reducing the overs available and increasing the required run rate, a low intensity preparation given the somewhat inadequate competition throughout most of the series.
Also I stubbed my big toe, my dog was barking and besides where Australians we don't like the rain ! So it was infact "good weather for the English" !
Another interesting point is that after watching you guys struggle for so long, quite a few Aussies - mainly the older generations were quietly supporting you as they love the underdog, remnants from our Colonial past I should imagine ! Which most are of us are intent on shattering for good !
All in all one of the best series come backs EVER you came from nowhere to win so Well done and see you next month in the Windies !

I`m an Aussie, and I honestly thought the poms were a much better side than we had seen in the ashes series. Well the buggers finally hit form at the right time!
3 Good wins, although I think yesterday, whoever batted first was going to win, with all those rain interruptions.
Hey its really opened up the field for the World Cup, England should be confident!

The Aussies fielded badly in the first final, and posted a relatively
low total
In the second final, the D-L method made things really difficult
for the Aussies.
England batted very well in the first innings
Boundaries were difficult to come in the last 10 overs, but they fought well taking singles and 2s

a million. We could no longer get final wicket to win 1st try adventure (nevertheless very dissapointed) 2. We crumple so truly decrease than stress, no longer taking part in the ball right away etc. 3. undesirable bowlers decision for final try. 4. loss of bowling administration at Lord's. 5. Brett Lee became injured in the previous 1st try (like McGrath became injured in 2005) i wish although Australia can get better strongly like after 2005 Ashes and dominate as quickly as extra.

Australia had the worst days in the last finals. Such things happen in cricket. The final outcome will depend upon who performs well on a particular day and England performed well to clinch the trophy.

Andrew Symonds was certainly missed but they just seemed to go off the boil.
They'll still be the team to beat in the World Cup though.

it seems like Australia got a bit to bigheaded and thought "we can win this easy" and then they probably just focused on the world cup
anyway their coach is making them do to many drills which is probably making them tired and now has injured Brett Lee who is the key bowler and now are even more worried about the world cup
