Well, they are all true...Unfortunately at present many honey bees (Apis mellifera) are being heavily parasitized by Varoa mites. These mites are decimating whole colonies of these friendly pollinators. It is a problem with no end in sight at the moment.

Apistan strips are available for the Varroa mites, but that can ruin the honey flow if used at the wrong time. Bee keepers must be more vigilante against these foreign pests. The joys of globalization, again.
