That's going to depend primarily on what the subject matter of the articles pertains to. Is it an especially complicated subject that might require a good deal of research, & annotation, or something relatively simple. What is the audience they are written for, & the rights for usage you are giving the company requesting them? You could check out sologig.com, & they might have some good input for you.

Why would anyone in their right mind pay you for writing an article on a subject which, by your own admission, you know little about? I wouldn't accept an article from you at all, let alone pay you for it!
