Russia occupied Afghanistan for 5 years, realized it was hopeless and left. the county turned into a state of turmoil and terrorist corruption for the longest time.
After Sept 11 the United Nation re-entered the country and it looks like there will be stability.

The U.S.A. and some allies occupies Iraq, to pack up and leave will send Iraq and the region around it into total turmoil, As was the case with Afghanistan.

The allies made there bed and now have to sleep in it, They must stay and correct the total mess they created.

Many of the people on Answers could give you good input, but you'd learn a lot more by watching the news on a daily basis. Just stay away from NBC, CNN, CBS, the New York Times, and all the other slanted Far Left news sources. Fox News is your only balanced source for news. Fox News has an archive, I believe, of all of Bill O'Reilly's analyses of the the Iraq War. This would be good reading for you.
