The best way for increasing body mass is through weights training combined with a high protein diet. Its the tried and tested method over the years.
Depending on what your goals are, your could either go for High weights, low reps, for strength, or Low weight, high reps, for endurance and muscle defination.
For Hi Weight, Low reps, you simply try to lift as much as u can carry over say 7 to 8 reps a set, over 3 sets. Remember to keep ur posture right, or there'll be no gains, only back aches.
For Low weight, Hi Reps, you fix the amount u want to do, something comfortable enough to lift about 30 - 40 reps a set, over 3 sets.
*Note: 1 rep=1 (eg) Bicep Curl/ 1 Action
1 set=a complete set of rep.

Diet wise, try to lay off the carbs, pls note, reduce, not completely remove it. Try to add more proteins, eg tofu, steak, meat, beans etc. But balance ur diet, and eat in moderation... :) Alternatively, you can use protein powders and shakes, easily available off the shelf, eg with GNC.
Some supplements help. The best I know of will be CLA. Conjugated linoleic acid, a naturally occurring trans fat in the human diet; also a dietary supplement. Its has been clinically proven to burn fat and develop muscle.
Most importantly, know your limits... Don't try to be superman and overdo. Go find a personal trainer or an experienced freind to guide you along. And have realistic target. You can't be the incredible hulk in a week. Muscles take time :) And age isn't a factor. At 28, you are still young.

as long as they are no longer obese or fat it truly would not remember to me. i'm wonderful with frequent and that they may be little chunky around the waist and what no longer in basic terms a woman who's obese would not adventure my pursuits the rest is wonderful.
