I need help finding a photographer so I can get my modeling career started.
Can anyone help me??

Check the phone book for an independent photo studio. Talk with them, explaining what you want. Unlike most of the chains, which have their 'standard' poses, a professional photographer will work with you to put together a small portfolio.
Professional portrait/wedding photographers sometimes have contacts in the modeling and advertising industries. They may even do photoshoots for other agencies. If you can find someone like this it could be the 'foot-in-the-door' you are looking for.

you dont need a portfolio to start modelling. you need to contact reputable agancies that employ working models. Ring them, ask if they will see you, go in and they will tell you pretty much straight out if they think you would get any work. They will ask to see a photo without make up. If you live too far away send them a snap shot along with your vital statistics.
beware of photographers charging alot of money to create a book . if you are good enough your agancy will help you with that when the time comes

Have a family member take a few polaroids of you...you don't need a professional photographer!

Trying to be a sucessful model is like saying youll win the lottery or be a hip hop star.....you either make it or you dont. good luck but i hope you have two back up plans

Go to glamour shots and get yourself a portfolio :)
