That'll be a BIG FAT NO! The only thing Nash does good is assist. He's not great at scoring(the most important stat there is), his DEFENSE SUCKS, and if you ask anyone who's the best player in the league you'll rarely hear Nash's name..... The first year that Nash won that should of been Shaq's MVP. That year demonstrated how valuable Shaq was to a team. The year before Shaq was in the finals as a Laker, then when Shaq left the Lakers the Lakers missed the playoffs(that mvp year). Then Shaq took a 8th seed Miami and turned it into a 1st seed team that made it to the eastern conference finals(that mvp year). Then the following year the Heat wins a championship! The team(Dallas) Nash left didn't get phased by Nash's departure. When Nash left Dallas, Dallas still made the playoffs, and the following year made the NBA finals........... Both left superstar players(Kobe & Dirk) and both joined superstar players(Wade & Amare before injury). Now be honest, who sounds more valuable that year?

You are absolutely right!! Nash has had a ton of good players like Amare Stoudemire, Shawn Marion, Quentin Richardson, Joe Johnson, and Boris Diaw. You can say that the Suns won only 28 games in 2004 with those same players, but that was because frickin Howard Eisley was starting at point guard! In 2003, when they had a half way decent point guard in Stephon Marbury, they made the playoffs and even beat the Spurs in one game. Nash has always been a very good point guard, and certainly he upgraded the Suns. But he hasn't been the M.V.P of the league! The Suns would still make the playoffs with Leandro Barbosa at PG, but take away Lebron James from the Cavs, Dwayne Wade from the Heat, and Kobe Bryant from the Lakers, and those teams barely win 20 games! King James and D-Wade were more worthy of the M.V.P in both 05 and 06, and Kobe was more worthy in 06 as well. This year, King James is again more worthy, and I'd say Gilbert Arenas and Dirk Nowitzki are more worthy as well! If Nash wins it for the third straight year, that will a shame!

I'll have to agree with you. I've always thought Nash is overrated. nash is without question an offensive beast who can give great offense, but for some reason, both dallas and suns are horrible on defense. Nash's weak defense and his inability to lead a team to good defense makes it so that he's overrated. Dallas couldn't win with a great team and now suns can't win the championship.

Until Nash makes it into the finals, I say he doesn't deserve anything yet.

Oh and Suns vs Lakers series last year was horrible for suns.

at first, i'm a extensive Steve Nash fan and Kobe Bryant hater. however the 1st twelve months he truly did deserve it. The group had won 29 video games the twelve months in the previous with Hardaway and Marbury there element of the season. next season would upload Steve Nash and that they'd tie a franchise checklist with a sixty two-20 season with Nash jumped from averaging 8.5 assists to 11.5. ideas you that the two Marion and Stoudemire have been already there, he purely stumbled on them extra in transition and additionally boosted that group to being the utmost scoring group interior the league. the 2nd is the only one in question for me. i've got self assurance that twelve months would desire to've been a special race for him and Kobe Bryant, with the two of them triumphing. Bryant had that super 80 one factor pastime whilst more suitable the league in scoring that twelve months (35). the only case against Kobe is character. he's not probably known for having a stable morale and that i think of people take that into attention while they vote. This final twelve months truly would desire to've been Nash's, even although he finished a special 2nd. for my section on the two Dallas and Phoenix, the two are loaded with All-action picture star gamers that are truly great. They the two ended up with mind-blowing seasons with Dallas edging Phoenix via 6 video games. the only variations are that Phoenix can infrequently paintings with out Nash whilst Dallas works purely wonderful with out him. Phoenix went 2-6 with out Nash whilst Dallas customarily won, aside from some meaningless 86-111 whipping from Golden State on the top of the season. the only different distinction is that Nash executed extra acceptable in each and each of the contests between the two communities. Dallas won the 1st 2 with Nowitski hitting a snatch shot interior the one 0 one-ninety 9 win. the different became that double beyond time-honored time Suns victory and that final blowout. Nash out executed Dirk for my section yet an early area gave Dirk the award, which he deserved purely as much as Nash did. I prefer they'd've finished Co-MVPs.

Look at the Suns before Steve Nash, not look at them. He's helped make that team a definite contender.

I think Nash did not deserve his first two, but I think he is this years MVP and probably won't win it.

WHAT!!!???? Nash deserves every single one of his MVP awards. Nash is good at assists and hes okay at scoring. His foul shooting is great and his defense is pretty good. When you say shaq shouldve gotten it, thats just wrong. He cant shoot foul shots or play defense. hes just big
