I'm looking for a good amplifier, that doesnt have a muddy sound, that can perform well with neo-classical/Rock/metal/death metal style sound. High gain, driven, and it needs to be able to play well with effects also.

I think you should look at buying a Crate amp, because I have a Crate bass amp and it works awesome, but I just have to say be careful when you buy it that the speaker is big enough for the wattage because it is easy to blow the amps with smaller speakers. Good Luck!

If you're going to spend the cash and want something that'll do everything you want from Fender soft and sweet to Marshall overdrive and midrange plus just about any variation from a Vox AC30 to a Kustom the amp you need is
The Mesa Boogie Mark IV
I had one back in the mid 90's and it was everything you could want. It was a great combo and it could drive a 4 x 12 cabinet and cover a huge room. All sorts of options with the footpedals and the push pull dual knobs. Check out

Hartke are nice but a little pastuerized/smooth processed sound. The Randalls can be nice but they can be fussy too. Crates are good basic kick around amps but its better to go for what works best in the long run than fork over now and more later. If you try them all you'll be wishing you got the M IV if you choose anything else.

I would go with a Fender or a Marshall, or even the new Line 6!!! They have a clear sound ! !
