Not sure why you'd want to???? Turtle block is used to treat soft shells in hard shell turtles - if you have a softshell, it's supposed to have a "soft" shell! Turtle blocks work by lowering the pH of the water - any change like this will affect your fish, probably killing them!

You should probably look into getting the turtle a tank of his(?) own. Not so much about it eating the fish - I've kept a fish in with my softshell, just to eat the food that the filter pushed into a corner the turtle couldn't reach - and they got along okay, but the fish was too big for mine to eat. The fish actually made the turtle more sociable, though. But a softshell needs to burrow into the substrate to feel safe, and aquarium gravel is large enough to damage their soft shell - when I got mine, he had quite a bit of damage & shell fungus had set in. He should also have an area wher he can get out of the water, though they rarely do. And a light over the basking area and part of the water will make the water too warm for some fish. I hope you realize the size a softshell can reach - males will get to about 7", females will be at least double that at maturity. They need an aquarium heater to keep the water 75-78o, even though they are native to areas where the water gets considerably colder, they are prone to respitatory infections in cold aquariums. If yours was found in the wild, it also is likely to have a number of parasites - the one I bought from Petco ended up having a respiratory infection, three parasites, including tapeworms, shell fungus, and metabolic bone disease (with lots of care & vet visits, he's doing much better now!).

Um. I'd be less worried about that turtle and more worried about my fish. You realize turtles eat fish, right?
