I think it is. You made a good point of how people hug and kiss more people than they do hold hands.
A persons hands do a lot in daily life (just try and get through one day with your hands tied behind your back) and its intimate to be holding someone elses.

It seems to be more meaningful. Hugging and kissing can be an enthusiastic greeting, or, in another form, sexual exploration. Holding hands simply seems to show affection.

I hold hands with all my friends when were out and about, we hug all the time too, sometimes kiss, but only my boyfriend and I.... well... you can solve that one....

well i think that if you had a boyfriend or girlfriend you should not be kissing or hugging on anohter boy/girl that is totaly low. and i think huging is more intamate your bodys close to oneanother and ineachoters brace i love that feeling.
