It is in fact the engine but not a motor mount problem. Thecheck engine light comes on but after a while goes out. I had a simular problem in the past with this same truck but I dont think it is the same problem this time. Last time it had blown the end off of the number 6 spark plug. I'm going to check the plugs this morning and if that isnt it then I will put it on the computer if I can catch the check engine light on.

Problem Solved. Turns out it was only two fouled plugs which were causing a miss fire in two of the cylinders thus the vibration.

It is probably missing then, I think you can check the codes by turning the key to the on position and then to pff 3 times, and leave it in the on position. If that works you will see the check engine light flash. count the flashes, and then serch for the #'s you get. It will be something like, * * * * pause * * pause *** That would be a 423 code. It may be a 4 diget code also. If you ahve a digital dash, it could jsut show up on the display.

could be many different thigns. Put the truck in the air, shake the wheels, check the u-joints (99% sure thats what it is) and see what is moving that shouldn't be.

if your SURE that its the engine that is in fact vibrating not somthing else. then its easy, the only thing that holds the engine are the motor mounts. check them out.

sounds like it could possibly be a broken engine mount or may need some valve work. The rocker arms may need to be adjusted.
