Nah, brown ants don't have venom or anything... its like a small pinch. In fact, if a red ant bites you... you'll feel PAIN like there's no tomorrow! Yesterday I was sitting and leaning by the stair rail reading waiting for my turn to get a hair cut. I didn't notice that there was a trail of brown ants crawling on my left arm... All i had to do was sweep them off because they were biting my elbow o_0. Trust me... its not the end of the world....yet. So... your safe.

It depends on your area and the ant. Black ants use to be harmless "sugar" ants. But in recent years fire ants began taking them "captive" as worker ants. They eventually began breeding, and now the sting of many of them can be quite painful. These produce a small pimple like bump, that can itch. I am in Texas and these are a major problem. However, there are still areas of the country where they are still simply "sugar" ants, and won't bite you even when provoked!

At first you feel like the area is on fire as that subsides it hurts and then
infernally itches for awhile. When all is said and done you have a red bump with what looks like a whitehead on top.
If you are allergic that is another story and I am not sure what can actually happen.

If they are small and black and they are fire ants they will gang up and sting the poot out of you! No mercy for fire ants.

Are they radioactive mutant ants? You could end up like SpiderMan...
Otherwise there will be mild localized irritation.

Nothing. Black Ants dont usually bite, and if they do, you won't be able to feel it and it will have absolutely no effect on your body.

small ones usually nothing, if there are big ones im sure it stings, the people indegenous to the rain forest use they to suture up open cuts get them to bite the skin closed and break of the body and the thorax
