I suspect that there are brackets behind the bath panel fixed to the bath framework. Is this normal? How do I manoeuvre the panel out? Any suggestions welcomed urgently as I have a leak from under the bath !

It may have been painted after the panel was installed, or it may have been locked down before the original paint or spackling was completely dry.

You will need to carefully pry it up with a stiff putty knife. (A screw driver might leave more prominent guoge marks.) Is the panel laminate? If so, perhaps you could use a suction cup like they handle glass or pull auto dents out with?

I just redid my bathroom and I had to cut into the drywall to get mine out. Good luck!!
