1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

simply hold down the select button in the middle of the click wheel for about 10 seconds then it should go on

You can either plug it into your computer or hold the middle button in for 10 seconds

mine has done that before what you do is switch the hold button so its on hold for about 5 seconds, next switch it back, then hold down the menu and center button down untill its showing the apple logo.good luck

Have you tried www.apple.com then clicked on support. Then typed in ipod and a full list of problems come up you click on yours and it tells you what to do.

take it to the apple store they will give you a new one with all the same songsfor free

I usually take my battery out and then put it back in again. Hope it works for you as well as it does for me.
