I got British Citizenship, because my mother was born in England, but she only lived there the first two years of her life and her parents are not British. I have dual citizenship, but have never lived in Britain, can I become Prime Minister in the future?

Lets be clear about this my Friend and cut out the fantasy and clever talk by moron "constitutional experts". The British political scene is a closed shop. 55 million Britons born and living here WILL NEVER be able to be PM here. So YOU got a better chance winning our EURO LOTTO at 50 000 000 to 1.

I believe you can, any citizen of the UK over 21 can become a candidate for election as an MP, provided you are not a Lord and fit some of the other special rules.

Blair is a Scot and for that matter so is Brown, so I can see no reason on the face of it why you should be barred from being the Prime Minister. Lets just hope you care more for the country than yourself !

In theory yes. In practicality almost nobody would vote for someone who does not live in the UK.

First you have to belong to a party.
That party has to elect you as their candidate.
