I left 4 years ago for that very reason, I hated the way the country was going, higher and higher taxes, the fuel crisis of 2000, when Blair basically stuck his two fingers up to the country and just when you thought it was all over along comes Brown! Oh Joy!
All of this, plus the semi-rise of the national front and a good reason to leave, I got out of there and emigrated to the US.
UK will always have it's pride, we are too proud a nation for that, but I just hate the way it's run, and besides, I just miss the football, MLS soccer ain't the same!

The problem is not with the Prime Minister but with the British people. I can't wait to get out either to Australia or America. Britain was ruined by Thatcher, if anyone and the selfish attitudes of most British people stem from that era.

The land is fine it's still a beautiful country - its the crazy laws they keep passing, or say they will pass. I'm just waiting for someone to call from the Council to say they want to look around my bungalow for council tax reasons.

Blair, his cohorts, and British soldiers are the only Britons left with any balls.
You used to be such a proud and courageous nation...what happened?
They are the ones still maintaining your identity.

Blair and many of his selfish government members have robbed us all and have only looked after their own personal interests. Like the Kinnocks,- now sterling millionaires, before them, they are in it for whatever they can get away with. I am convinced that certainly the Blairs will eventually settle in the USA - God Bless America together with our thanks and apologies

I don't think they have ruined it, maybe tarnished is a better choice of words. I mean a great land like that, it would take more than a handful of twits to totally ruin it.

The last decade hasn't been good. Labour has been a disaster - they've a cheek blaming the Conservatives after this long.
