Yes, HRH The Duke, is a Royal Pain, however the Queen is crazy in love with him, even now, 50+ years of marriage latter. It's amazing the House of Windsor has not collapsed with some of the "royal" screw ups he has delivered over the years. After knowing him somewhat over the years, all you need do is look at the condition of his kids to see the results. He has chilled over the years, and was remarkable as an aid to the Princes when Diana met her unfortunate demise. He and the Queen spent hours upon hours supporting them, to gear them up for that "walk" behind her casket that we all watched.

Yes he's a grade "A" ***, but, even a grade "A" *** has his finer moments. Don't judge his life based on the movie.

Yes, he is. He's cheated on the Queen a great number of times with a great number of women also. Read the book by Kitty Kelly, she names them! That's why her book is illegal and can't be published in the Britain. Also, SHE HAS NEVER BEEN SUED. Meaning that, if she had lied, they could have taken her to court, but since her records as so impeccable, she ONLY writes what she knows can stand up in court. Therefore she knows she's safe with what she wrote. Philip is cold, unemotional and uncaring. However, he is the Prince Consort and only cares for the Queen AND Himself.

He hated both his daughter-in-laws and was glad to see the end of both. Sarah is still not invited to Christmas with the Windsors, although her daughters are.

All I need to say is "Prince Phillip drives around London in an old green taxi." Does this help answer your question?

I haven't seen that movie yet, but want to.

I've heard some nasty stories about Phillip, from people who'd have no reason to lie about it.

Actually he is unpopular with the deluded "politically correct" and well liked in redneck places like the Canadian prairies.
