I know you got muslims and such, but what about other Europeans?

I also know you see Polish people, any others that British people really have become familiar with by them living in the UK ?
I dont know if the average British person really is very well aquainted with any real Germans for example . Really, I think many in Britain are quite unfamiliar with Russians or other people in Europe, is it true? why or why not?

First of all i would like to point out that i am British born and raised, Scottish in fact. I am a Muslim and clearly not from another country. A religion is for anyone in any country, Muslims don't necessarily come from other countries. There are plenty of Europeans living here we the British are Europeans for a start. I know Lithuanians, Hungarians, French, Italians, Greek Cypriots, Spaniards, Polish, Swedish don't know any Germans though. So i would have to say NO its not true.

When the UK became part of the EU it became an open country to the other european members Many of whom work and live in the UK These are mainly people from specialised industries. Also younger europeans back pack and work in rural type employment. However language is a problem, just as it is for britons in continental Europe.Prior to the fall of the USSR the eastern nations did'nt allow thier citizens to migrate. So the only ones here would be refugees and as such these people had a new identity.
Luckily most european countries teach english as a second language. We have our fair share of foreign nationals.A recent govt paper put the figure as britons working in Europe as over 200000.With almost 6 Times this number of europeans working in UK.

There are many foreign people in UK especially in London. It is good to see so many different cultures. It is when one of those cultures start using violence it becomes a problem.
There are now many East Europeans who arrive here mostly as seafarers. They tend to be not easy to make friends because of their political past. The Russians tend to be suspicious of those who work voluntarily for charities. They think they work for the secret police !! !!. I hope I am wrong to think they are all like that
