You could try looking up Japanese names or the site below, it has lists of Japanese baby names which obviously would still apply to a 14 year old, if you meant dog spirit, which Inu is japanese for dog, then you could make something like Inushi, the site lists typical endings for boys name's. How about
Yoshi - means good, respectful
Hiroshi - means generous

Also, the japanese word for dog is Inu, so it's hard not to come up with a name somewhat similar to Inuyasha.
