I doubt many guys will know the answer to this... but it's something I'm really interested in. Why do girls who live together, or spend alot of time together... become synchronised in their menstrual cycle?

I sound retarded, I know

It has to do with pheromones/hormones, some say it is also tied to the lunar cycle. The most dominant female will lead the others to have the same cycle.

It does happpen and female bodies do it on purpose. It's done so that the group of women are less likely to get pregnant by the same man. If they all ovulate at different times the dominant male could just move from one to the other to the other, getting them all pregnant, which isn't good for genetic diversity. If all the women ovulate at the same time they are more likely to pair up with different men.

No this isn't retarded. It can and does happen.
I'm not sure medical science has an answer to this yet, but my theory is we become sensitive to the other persons hormones.

yes, it does happen, because the girls tend to eat the same foods, same sleeping schedule, same activity schedule, etc. outside factors affect period timing, and if all the factors are the same or close to it, its possible to synchronize. bodies are all different of course, so idk if it'd work if say youre a tiny girl and your friend is a fat chick.
