Okay, she's been saying that her marriage is over. I've been dumb enough to take her seriously. Should I remain optimistic, or get over it and try with someone else who isn't as special to me as this woman?

Ummm... you're an idiot. People who persue people already in relationships tend to fall into one or more of three groups: no integrity, no self-esteem, fear of commitment.

It's time to start thinking about the short-circuits in your head that made you think you didn't want or deserve somebody who was solely interested in you, respected you, etc.

Just because she says her marriage is over is she telling you she is getting a divorce? There is a difference men just like women fall out of love or are only in the relationship for convenience. Maybe you need to get on with the real question is she going to stay with him or not? If so then you have to make the decision if you are going to accept her not being there for you like you would want.

I won't chastise you for being stupid enough to get involved with a married woman, you already know that. But know this: she has already proven that she is a liar & a cheat. If she will do it to one, don't think she won't do it to another. Is this the kind of woman you really want? You are probably much more in lust than you are in love. What you really need to do for your own sanity (& concience) is just stop cold turkey, mourn, if you need to for a little while & get on with your life. There is a truly wonderfull lady out there just waiting for you to find her. Go do it! By the way, I am a woman (older). There are men out there who cheat on their wives also & I would give the "girlfriend" the same advice.

This is a twist usually it is men spatting this cr@p. Marriage are not over until divorces are final and filed in the courthouse. Don't go down that road of mistrust, vile secrets and extreme regrets.

Bottom line: Find you a woman that can give you herself free and whole heartedly you deserve full attentions not part, a fourth or less.

If you try with someone else who isn't as special to you as this present woman, she will become even more special because she won't have the baggage that your present interest has.

Of course, you don't want to lower your expectations either...that too would be dumb.

Shift your mind-set from optimistic to realistic.
Step away from this relationship, at least for a while, and open your heart to find someone just as, or even more special AND unattached. Don't hurt someone else with false hope.

Tough road for you - I wish you well.

From One Man to another; DON'T LISTEN. Your wife will say one thing one minute and say something else the next. Females are like that. They will be doing one thing, stop do something else, and come right back to what she was doing to begin with.

As a man I have to do one thing, finish it or find a place to stop; then attempt to handle the other thing. If I finish that second thing, I have to find a way to restart the the first thing I was doing before I stopped. This is a major undertaking to get anything done.

As men we do well to do things our way, and let the women do things their way. Think for yourself, because if you take a lead from your wife you will head in the wrong direction.

SORRY MIS UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU SAID.

This lady is married and seeing you at the same time. If she hasn't left her husband and file for divorce yet then she'll never do it buddy. You should take this as one of life's tough lessons and move on. She's confused and you don't want to be waiting forever. She just wanted a fling and she has no right to lead you on. I said leave her alone and move on to someone better!!!

Yes, try dating someone else until she's really proves that its over by showing you some divorce papers. Women say the same thing as men to get what they want.

Women who cheat go for men like you who believe what they say. Trust me if you gave her an ultimatum she would tell you it's over. Don't settle for being a little extra on the side. Find someone who is available to you and you only.
