before 9/11, osama + "The Taliban" ... the "political group" led by al-queda... destroyed the old Afghanistan government, and took leadership in Afghanistan.

using their terrorists strategies, they destroyed the old Afghan government and took over Afghanistan...

after 9/11 we bombed the Taliban to hel* and rid Afghanistan of the intruders, and replaced the Taliban with the old leaders of Afghanistan.

Ever since, NATO (not the US) has been patroling Afghanistan, helping its government get on its feet, and making sure the Taliban dont try to take over again.

Over the years, after the liberation of afghanistan, Osama and his helpers have regrouped and reformed the Taliban.. atleast somewhat.

They are currently leading an even more anti-western anti-israel revolution in Pakistan... which appeals to many very pissed off pakistani people... therefore, its easy for the Taliban to gain supporters.

The reason Pakistan is so supportive of America + Israel now is because they need any help they can get to stop this revolution aimed at replacing and destroying its current government.

Hopefully, if we help Pakistan defend its government against the Taliban revolution, we can hopefully convince Pakistan to make more treaties with Israel.. therefore eliminating/reducing the tensions between Pakistan + Israel..

We are launching attacks from Afghanistan because we already have NATO forces in Afghanistan.. and it neighbors Pakistan, so its easier and more cost efficient to attack from Afghanistan, rather then firing longer ranged, less accurate missles from US bases.

Pakistan is already not very fond of the idea of NATO+the US firing missles into Pakistan.. quite frankly they dont trust us completely...
so the missles need to be quite, quiet, and they must be pin-point accurate. no mistakes, or else Pakistan will feel betrayed.

we arent at war with Afghanistan, NATO is gaurding the Afghan Government, and we are using Afghanistan to help us rid Pakistan of the same monstorous people that took over Afghanistans Government.. so they are very willing and supportive of the cause....

Many US intelligence offices have proclaimed that Afghanistan can be expected to be stable as early as 2009...
expecting a rise in Osama-led Taliban resistance in both Pakistan + Afghanistan in 2007/'08....

That's where the Taliban was giving refuge to Osama bin Laden, whose group Al Qaeda planned and executed 9/11. That country was and is a legitimate target.
