I guess you are helping your child with home work. The Salem Witch Trials took place in Salem Town Massachusetts in the Puritan Colony in 1692 mainly caused by hysteria. In 1957 the State of Massachusetts declared all those who were found guilty were innocent of all charges brought against them. One of these witches was Mary Perkins Bradbury.approx 31 people were charged in 1692. You just had to have a neighbour angry at you to be charged as a witch

Salem, Massachusetts What a great place to visit. They actually have a witch in the town and she is known and accepted by many. They reenact the complete witch trials. interesting.
