I'm trying to buy a textbook from a person who posted an ad on Craigslist. I responded to the ad, and she told me to send her money and then she'll send me the item. However, I don't know how to make a transaction on Craigslist. Can someone help me out on this?

there have been many rip offs on craigslist ( you did see the warnings right ? )
you are better off @ half.com ( an ebay company ) since it's paypal backed and at least you have some sort of gurantee you get your book

I highly suggest NOT sending anyone on Craigslist money. There are just too many scams on there. If the item you wish to buy is a super good deal it is most likely a scam.
Ask the seller is they accept PayPal and use that as an option.

Craigs list does not have that functionality. You need to talk with the seller and get her address so you can send her the money. It would be better to meet face to face for the transaction though.

you have to work it out with the seller by email. they may exchange their phone number but if i were you, i wouldnt send any money
