there is a plastic tube inside the tank on the inlet side it is there to direct the cold water entering the tank to the bottom where it can be heated before rising and Leaving the tank sometimes these fall off inside the tank allowing the cold water to be released at the top of the tank, greatly reducing the temperature of the water leaving the tank. If this is the case don't try to fish the tube out just buy a new one there are cheap and the old one won't harm the tank if left inside of it

Check the temperature setting on your water heater and see if it has been moved. If not try turning it up a little. Also, don't under estimate how much hot water the dishwasher and washing machine use in their cycles. And the time elapsed between your shower and others in your family. Make sure all the other appliances are not in use and haven't been for at least 15 minutes. Also, maybe your hot water faucet is not allowing enough water through to mix with the cold. It cold be clogged with mineral deposits.

ok, i have been in some defense force housing. that's to not far-off to be dropping that a lot warmth. flow on your bathe and run the warm as lengthy there is warm water. flow for yet another 5-10 min. allow the water heater artwork for a minute or 2 than verify it out. If it sounds like it really is cracking and banging, then you genuinely have lime boost. What may be happening is that the elements artwork, yet can warmth up the water do to the calcium on the elements. yet another element is that it really is so complete of lime that it purely heats up a touch water. shop calling them. they'll finally become drained of it and replace the water heater. you may run the bathe for 5 min to reveal them the way it really is operating. in the experience that they are any good they receives to the bottom of the area.

That's a big water heater for a single family home. Given, the hot water heater is full of hot water (no one has been drawing hot water for 30 min.) and no other appliances drawing hot water is in use You should be able to splash and shower to your heart's content -- that is, unless you are like one of our tenants who complained that the water ran cold after he stayed over an hour in the shower.
Perhaps the temperature has been set down by someone wishing to conserve energy, water, and money.

heat setting on the heater, hard water lime build-up, or the plastic tube on the cold side water line has broken and the cold water is feeding into the top of the heater not the bottom. That is all I can tell you sorry.

Check the temp you have it set for, turn the gas to pilot or off and drain the tank may have sediment at the bottom. run a hose to the outside and let the cold water run through the tank and watch the hose to see if anything is coming out.
