Is it a holiday that is centered around women and what men get for them?
I had a girfriend a couple years back who said so. I got her what i felt was a nice little gift. It was a small clear plastic case with a rose sealed inside, the base was made of wood and had a music box built into it. When you wound it up it would play some song. It was around 15 inches tall. I thought this was really nice. She didnt like it at all and made it clear she didnt. Yet she didnt get me anything in return. When i pointed this out to her, she said Valentines day is about what a guy buys the girl, she wasnt suppose to buy me anything in return.
Look, i really didnt want anything, but for her to throw a fit over what i got her and to say it wasnt good enough kinda set me off.
Needless to say, that relationship didnt last long after that.
So, my question. Is it only about what the guy gets the girl? And also should a girl say the gift wasnt good enough for her?

Well I'm glad to see you got rid of her and NO...Valentine's Day is not just for women. I give my sweetie of 11 years a gift every year. Besides, it's the thought that counts when you give someone a gift, not the cost or whatever. Valentine's Day is for lovers not greedy biatches...lol

i'm not quite agreeing inclusive of your solid actuality about Valentine's Day being like a conspiracy-concept by technique of the feminists, yet may ought to assert for the list that i imagine the vacation has become way over-commercialized and quite geared in the route of the guy procuring presents for the lady (see all the jewellery, flora, etc. classified ads that pop up acceptable around the vacation). that is why I do agree inclusive of your unique element that it type of sounds like the guy is having to do maximum, if not all of, the artwork, even as if the lady does not something she is especially a lot off the hook. inspite of the actual shown actuality that it began out as a pagan custom and its orginal objective(s) has replaced, i imagine by technique of today's criteria it really is going to nevertheless be considered a visit for both the guy and the lady to be celebrated and cherished. And in answer on your question, there are nevertheless some women those who do get or do something for his or her guy/significant different. My husband and that i attempt to regulate Valentine's Day as an afternoon once we may be able to practice our appreciation for another and the actual shown actuality that we've someone in our lives that loves us unconditionally, helps us and is an outstanding husband, spouse, parent, lover and pal. and often the superb presents we've given/received were hand-made and thoughtful, not extreme priced. My widespread present up to now has been 2 CDs my hubby stayed up all evening to make, that were packed with love songs that defined how he felt about me and us. i wager that is why inspite of the actual shown actuality that it has become very commercialized, I nevertheless regard it as a visit worth celebrating, because on the present time we've a tendency to underappreciate those human beings in our lives who do the most for us, so that's one extra day we may be able to assert "thanks". good success to you!
