I would still marry him. I got my fathers blessing the last time and he was way off base with this one. I can't trust his opinions now.

In the end my dad would want me to be happy, he may not want me to marry the guy and he may say no but he would accept my decision to marry the guy.

i dont have a real dad so i dont have to worry about it. i dont have a step dad yet but if i have one when that time comes i probably would still marry the guy if i really loved him whether my step dad says yes or no

I could not. My father loved me first...i could never break his heart. But I would hope i could eventually talk him into accepting the guy IF he truly is a good guy. If not...sorry, next.

I did the first time...and learned from my mistake. Current hubby not only asked for my father's permission, but also asked my grandmother, who was instrumental in getting us together in the first place. Very romantic...this one is a keeper
