I have a tank w/ guppies and red eye tetras and want to add an african dwarf frog to my collection. I don't know if it will work out. Right now i feed the fish tropical flakes, but i know that african dwarf frogs like bloodworms, Will the others be okay with that too? Thank you for any answers!

I have an African Dwarf Frog with a few guppies and a corydora. They get along great! But like the others said, the frog will eat the fry (babies) your guppies may have, so if you notice that a female guppy is pregnant and about to give birth, you should isolate her from the frog (perhaps in a breeding tank).

I also feed my fish/frog bloodworms on occasion. Bloodworms are great for guppies, tetras, and the frogs. You can also feed them all frozen brine shrimp.

Have fun! :)

Great question, I had my Dwarf frogs in with my Red Eye Tetras for several weeks with no problems until last night when one of my larger Red Eyes decided to grab one of my two little frogs and try swimming away with it. He looked like jaws on the take. I was able to get the frogs out and move them to another tank for their safety.

I had read up on the topic of keeping the frogs with Red Eye Tetras but saw no complaints. I will never put that combo together again and would not recommend that anyone else try it either.

first of all, never put live barers with egg layers. i would not put bloodworms in my aquarium. frogs eat baby fish, as will your live barers eat eggs. and your egg layers will also eat baby fish. good luck!
