Actually, per capita, South Africa is number one with the UK coming in at 2. Russia is also high on the list as is Mexico. The US is 300 million people. Clearly, we will have the most but we also have the most advanced media. If Mexico, Russia or South Africa would make the formal, worldwide announcement every time someone is killed; then they would occupy the headlines.

I believe the US has the most crime per capita of any developed nation.

The US criminal justice system does not work. I believe the biggest difference is the lack of punishment for criminals. Real criminals are not afraid of jail. Our prisons do not punish, they rehabilitate. Their rehab success rate is pathetically dismal. Real punishment is a better deterrent to crime. Criminals know they will get out early without having to really "pay" for their crime. They almost always go right back to crime.

Furthermore we are raising a new generation of spoiled slackers who want everything now, without working for it. Criminals and gangs are glorified everywhere in the media. Being a dedicated "working man" is not cool.

Our policemen are busy writing citations against lawful citizens instead of focusing on real crime. That is because their department gets income from ticket writing. Whereas chasing criminals just costs money. It's the capitalism in criminal justice.

Americans are, generally, wealthy enough to afford the serial killer lifestyle of going from place to place with marginal or no employment. Most people on this planet have to work for a living. (Which is a solid argument against supporting any Islamic charities.)

Where is the statistical evidence proving that there are more in America?

If your belief in such is due to personal experience, its probably because you live in America.

In science we call this the "But I have a friend that....." or "But I know somebody who...." fallacy. (Just because you know one exception to the rule doesn't mean it outweighs the hundreds of examples that follow the rule.
