When you talk to someone, not everyone can really comprehend what you are saying. Therefore "great thoughts" speak only to a "thoughtful" mind..one that is capable of receiving and processing those thoughts. Not everyone can. (You've heard the expression that one went right over my head?...that's pretty well the gist of it.)
Whereas great actions...well everyone can SEE a great action. An act of kindness, a donation, helping someone, fundraising, teaching, leading, coaching, etc. That is why actions speak louder than words, but those with great minds know that great thinkers are needed too. What would the world be without Einstein and the likes?
Everyone has interesting perspectives on this one, which is good. I like the notion too that an action causes a ripple effect on humanity and spreads and grows. It's like the pay it forward thing (you've all seen the movie Pay it Forward right?....if not what are you waiting for...get the kleenex ready too.)

Your great thought in action thus speaks to humankind. People see actions your thought or idea can only be great if put into action. Great actions change humans in positive ways, your great thought without action will only speak to you.

Ditto on the "actions speak louder than words parallel".
But, if I'm understanding you correctly, "great actions speak to all humankind", by way of their massive results, good and bad, i.e. When Bill Gates decided to take a majority of his wealth and dedicate it to resolving the aids crisis in Africa. His actions affected millions in Africa and resonated across the world, when others joined in to help.
On the other side of the spectrum, when President Bush decided, against all council of the United Nations, to take our country into another war of futility, that too was a great action, meaning, paramount in scope. The result of his actions spoke to humankind across the globe, as well as all the families who have lost loved ones.

In that great actions make accessible to all humankind, not only a thoughtful mind, great thoughts.

Not all people can think of great thoughts and that is because we human beings have different intellectual capacities. Some are intelligent and some are not that intelligent because of differrent reasons. Great actions on the other hand can be done by anybody as long as you have a heart which you can share. Great actions don't need any amount of intelligence.

I agree with the first post.
'Great actions speak to all humankind' is the real Proof to life that you are getting what is known to be Great 'done', rather than only 'talking' about it and no action.
What is good about having someone who tells us to do something good or out-of-reach, when that person can't do it him/herself? Unless, he/she has done something to proove it, then it becomes believable for us to do it too.
