we have been together for 3 years now. We are getting married in the summer. He kissed another girl, and says he got caught up in the moment. He told me on his own that he kissed her because he wanted to change and felt guilty hiding it every time he talked to me. His reason for hiding it was because he didnt want to lose me. He's very sorry for what he did and he wants another chance. I kno for a fact he loves me alot but its very hard for me to forgive him. but i dont wanna lose him. we been through alot together and i dont want to throw all that away over a meaningless kiss with another girl. but im afraid if i forgive him he'll think its ok to do it again. Please help me out. I love him alot and he loves me bak. i kno he feels guilty for what he did. i dont know what to do. i want to forgive him but would that be the right thing to do?. so should i forgive him or break up wit him??

I'd postpone the wedding if I was you. There have to be consequences or he'll think he can get away with ANYTHING as long as he says he's sorry and that he got caught up in the moment.

Because, truth be told, if he was that concerned about your feelings and really wanting to keep you then he should have been able to resist so simple a temptation.

Postpone the marriage and see how you feel about things next year. If he squawks and screams about it being "unfair" of you to delay the marriage, dump him. It's his fault and he should take the delay like a man. Similarly, if he gives you any more reason to not trust him then dump him. But if he accepts the delay gracefully and works hard to regain your trust then I'd give him another chance.

Leaving him might be a little over the top if you both love each other. It's very unfortunate when these things happen but the fact that he told you the truth says a lot. It was wrong of him to do those things so its up to you how you react. You might give it some time (away from him) so you can evaluate how you feel, and so he knows that he really hurt you. Focus on how he acts in the meantime. If he becomes defensive and tries to justify what he did, its not a good sign. If he remains apologetic and sad then he is probably genuinely sorry.

Forgive him, but don't be so easy on him. Make him earn your trust back but don't go overboard because then he will never tell you again when he do something wrong. We're humans and make mistakes. All of us deserve a second chance, I know what he did was wrong, but you never know since you two been together for a while now maybe he wanted to test the waters and noticed you are the one he truly loves so go ahead girl forgive him.

Be Tough though.

OK...i have been in this situation before, forgive him if he really means it...Knowing that he told you himself and not you hearing it from someone else is a sign that he loves you very much and he wants you to forgive him and that he doesn't want to keep secrets from you...He really loves you and you should forgive him...

Tell him that you can forgive but you won't forget.
